RPR Partners With NAR BPO Certification
RPR is partnering on a BPO "Broker Price Opinion" certification program developed by The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) in response to both housing market conditions and member needs. The program is a 1-day course, designed to help REALTORS® learn best practices when fulfilling BPO’s through a revised certification program. RPR will be able to enhance the certification by providing course material and assisting participants in receiving BPO orders directly from Lenders Service Inc. (LSI)—one of the nation’s leading management companies for BPO’s.
The first series of classes are scheduled to begin May 10, 2011 in Washington D.C. REALTORS® participating in the program will learn about how the BPO system works, using the RPR application and valuation tools, as well as a variety of other resources. The certification program ends with a comprehensive test, designed to ensure attendees understand the principals required for a BPO. Upon completion, the attendees will have the opportunity to receive BPO orders from LSI. These orders will only be available to REALTORS® who have completed the NAR certification program.
Once the course is completed and the application fees have been paid, the BPO designation will be automatically included in your NRDS profile, and can then be added next to your name. This will also trigger a few events, starting with the agent’s enrollment into the LSI BPO panels. Participation in the panels will allow the agents to begin to receive BPO orders. Order levels will vary by location, based upon BPO order volume in a specific market area.
RPR Training Resources
RPR training classes are now more interactive, allowing REALTORS® to ask questions throughout the session, as well as new audio options which allow participants to use their computer, headphones, or phone. Classes include: RPR Basics, RPR Mobile, Q/A Round-up, Train the Trainer for Brokerage or MLS staff and dozens of other video tutorials, including Spanish sub-titles.
